Lifeline System Kee Safety, Inc., introduces the KeeLine Overhead Lifeline Systems to provide fall protection and support for one or two workers at elevated heights during construction and maintenance. The PPE system mounts directly above the user for overhead applications. The system is comprised of a 5/16” thick 316 stainless steel wire and durable, low-maintenance electro-polished brackets with two permanently attached wheeled travelers. The travel line can be configured to allow single or multiple spans of up to nearly 78 feet between supports for use by one or two workers. The system also incorporates the patented KeeLine shock absorbers, which limit the end loads to the structure, and KeeLine self-retracting lifelines, which lock and minimize the impact in the event of a fall.

Virtual Main Arc Flash Mitigation System Schneider Electric introduces the Virtual Main Arc Flash Mitigation System. The system is designed to improve worker safety and enhance electrical system reliability by reducing arc flash energy on low-voltage switchgear and switchboards, including the main incoming power distribution switchboard. The system includes an engineering study to evaluate the optimum settings for the relays and circuit breakers in the unit substation; a switching device with fault interruption capability on the high-voltage side of the service transformer; three relaying class current transformers installed on the secondary side of the service transformer in the transformer compartment; and a self-contained relay package including a microprocessor-based relay and the necessary terminal blocks, pilot lights, and selector switches. Sensor for Sulfur Dioxide MSA announces an industry-first SO2/H2S-LC XCell Sensor for ALTAIR 4X Multigas Detectors. Ideal for monitoring sulfur dioxide in a compact personal gas monitor, the new SO2 / H2S-LC XCell Sensor provides detection ranges of 0-20 ppm SO2 and 0-100 ppm H2S with 0.1ppm resolution on both channels. Standard H2S low concentration channel meets ACGIH recommendations for 1ppm TLV. Sensor's fast t(90) <15 seconds response times provide bump tests in less than 10 seconds, full span calibration in 60 seconds.
